Asymmetrical Tactics with Playing Styles combined

I' m working on Championship CPU tactics combined with plating styles. These tactics are not the real ones of the Championship teams; I took inspiration from some passmap pictures of some european teams. In these tactics i have assigned to each player a functional playing styles who gave more characterization and unpredictability in the team movement. The formation are very asymmetrical and also this give more unpredictability in the passing lines and in the occupation of spaces. I' m very satisfied of the result of my work. ( The playing styles are assigned also on the bench players ).
I post some pictures of these tactics with the related playing styles. When i will finish to edit all the Championship teams, i will share the Ted files in this tread

When a CPU team have 3 center backs, one thing I really like is changing a CB's position into a full back + "false full backs" advanced instruction. With these changes one of the center back is more involved in the build up, as it happens in real football where the Centre Back give the numerical superiority in midfield. These adjustments works also without " false fullbacks " but in this case obviously the player stay more on the side, like a traditional full back. One thing very important is that the CB must not have the playing style " offensive full back " , in fact in this case i change Kolasinac Playing Styles into " Defensive Full back " , but every other playing styles are fine except " Offensive Fullback "

PREMIER LEAGUE TACTICS WITH PLAYING STYLES COMBINED
( Created for the CPU )

super poster premier.jpg

This is are the Premier league files Ted , with tactics and playing styles combined. It' s a mix of real team tactics and my ideas. If you gonna import this files, you gonna lose the kits of your Premier League file options . I suggest you to import this files Ted , and then reimport your Premier League teams from your file options , without " apply data and teams ". If you do this, you will have this tactics and playing styles with your FO kits.

My inspiration comes from the study of the passmaps of some real teams, where I realized that in reality the teams are often arranged on the field in a very asymmetrical way. Here are some examples:

passmaop lyon.jpgpassmap dortmund.jpgpassmao roma.jpg

I also modify the playing styles of all the Premier League players, putting styles suited to the player's characteristics but above all functional to the team's tactics. In the formation of the teams, each player has a different style of play from the others, and this brings enormous benefits to the maneuvering and game development of the CPu.

The tactics are a mix of my ideas and real English teams tactics that I find on internet. In teams that play with the 3-man defense,i put one of the central defenders as a full-back in possession, so he participates more in the offensive action, as in reality happens for example in Sheffied, Brighton, Hellas and Atalanta. When I want this defender to participate more centrally, I put the advanced instructions " false full backs " on the team. This instruction is also very useful for some 4-handed teams. In that case, I put one of the full-backs as a cross specialist midfield winger while the other full-back will come into the field to achieve numerical superiority. This is a solution that many teams use in reality. Here, for example, we see Utd using only Shaw as a fake full-back. It's Tactical solution that I replicated in the UTD of Pes.

These are some pictures of the tactics I created. For example in the first formation, Brighton, have false full backs so that the right central defender, Veltman, will partecipates more in the midfield build up , where he will have a very clean pass line for Lallana, to whom I have assigned the style of play. "classic 10", which will make him stand still between the lines, ready to receive Veltman's pass. It is a solution that Brighton often uses also in reality. As said these, my work is a mix between my ideas and real tactics, if I had found them on the Internet, such as Southampton which in reality plays with 4 2 2 2, with the TRQ who always fit into space. In that case I assigned the two TRQs the " hole player" style of play.

Here other images taken from my work. All teams have automatic offside active, to increase the realism in the behavior of the defensive lines. Of course, all teams use the fluid formations, and therefore in non-possession they will have orderly and symmetrical formations. Another thing I did was eliminate the "long balls" COM style of play to all non-specialist players of this fundamental. For City and Liverpool I put the " man marking " and " interception " skills on ALL their players to try to recreate the organized pressing they do in reality.

upload these .ted files 1st. choose apply data and overwrite.

then when you want the kits and club data, don't choose apply data. so that way, the player data and tactics will be there and the kits will be updated.

How do you know all this stuff about tactics? It's impressive. I watch alot of football but I certainly don't understand the finer details of tactics like you do just the basics.

your tactics were awesome to play with. I played 30min manual professional match again norwich with a 2.5 star team. was very exciting to see the way they played. they actually made tackles and slides resulting in fouls.

looking forward to the complete set of tactics.

Fantastic work mate, will definitely give these a try. To add on resources regarding tactics, as you rightly said there are quite a few ways to learn online now. But there's also some really good books such as Inverting the Pyramid by Jonathan Wilson. You can even find dissertations from coaches who got their badges in Italy. Recently I read Pirlo's and Crespo's for example. Very interesting insight.
