Attention: Can't access Evo-Web from my own computer

Hello.

Since the beginning of this week Evo-Web has been down for me.

First I thought the site was just down like it has been previously, but apparently I'm the only one who can't access the site.

Right now I'm using one of those 'make me anonymous' sites to access evo-web.

So what's going on? Has my IP been banned or something like that?

I hope you have a solution for this problem - I've never experienced it before.

You're actually not the only one, some of our staff are having similar issues since the start of the week. We're not sure whats causing it, but hopefully it'll only be an out of date DNS entry on your ISP's side and will be resolved asap.

Re: Can't access Evo-Web from my own computer

The problem still remains, please use the following link instead for accessing our boards:

http://www.evo-web.co.uk/forums/

We're still waiting for the access problems to be fixed. Keep in mind, this is just a workaround for the time being, our subdomain will be back soon, hopefully. We'll keep you briefed.

Woah.

Just tried to get on www.evo-web.co.uk/forums as I usually do, and it wouldn't let me on (404 error - "the requested URL /forums/ was not found on this server"). So, presuming that now I'm suffering from the same problems a lot of guys are having, I remembered this thread that said to take the "www" out...

Everything's in Times New Roman. And big. :|

Edit: And now it's back to normal... I must be logging on during transition time. Sorry.
Edit2: Now www.etc is down and the non-www.etc is big again. I'll come back later...

Yeah, to fix the access problem people were having we had to move the site a bit, this resulted in a few errors, some of which are still outstanding.

As the change propagates around the web they should all be fixed.

Sorry for any hassle but I thought it'd be better to get this sorted out before the release of PES.

We love you all, stay with us. :)

Yeah the timeout thing is the problem we've been trying to fix since last week. It was such a random problem the hosts couldn't come up with a fix. The DNS change was my idea to force a change and hopefully appears to have worked.

The forums.evo-web.co.uk subdomain will gradually come back over the next few days.

Welcome back. :)

I've haven't been able to get on for a nearly a week now.

You're not the only one. It's been one week for me as well until Mart created the workaround solution this morning.

Weird thing is, I'm from Germany. So the IP range of those who aren't able to connect must be quite large.

Now when I try and access the site without using a proxy I get a long message saying Apache has been succesfully installed on the site.

And when using a proxy site the font and layout are weird/different.

Hopefully everything will be normal soon

Everything will be normal soon. Once the changes made to both www.evo-web.co.uk and forums.evo-web.co.uk spread around the web (this takes up to 72 hours) both domains will be back and everything will look normal. Keep the faith.

why are the texts and graphics look bolder and smaller ? im using firefox and fonts are very bad.

That means the www.evo-web.co.uk address isn't working for you so it can't find the styles etc.

There is a configuration error and a network specialist is looking into this for us.

Yeah same. I've been having problems too.

Right now is the first time I've been able to access this site for the past 4-5 days.

It constantly said something about "Apache Server" or something like that every time I tried to get on before....

Only managed to acess the site today. and it was trough a link to a topic through google. :o
font and shite like that are bad bad... hopefully all will be fine before the rampage of PES6 posts start.

Well I had the same issues, but I'm glad it seems to work for me right now!
I really missed the forum!

Thanks for the email about the probs cause I thought it was mine firewall or sometin...

Like a lot aof people i haven't been able to access the website for a while. Today was the first day i've tried since about Wednesday but before i kept getting some message talking about Apache Server(?), and saying something like "not seeing the website you expected?"

Dunno what happened but it's all fine now.:)
