I'm a Liverpool fan and i'm outraged that Luis Garcia is their, he can't dribble to save his life and he over complicates moves, the only notable thing he has done is scored that wonderful volley against Juventus in the Champions League last year. The only other thing he has contributed is a few easy tap-ins sme of which he nearly missed... :(

Great, my best singer and player united. \\:o/

I think France Football will give the title to Frank Lampard while FIFA will give the title to Ronaldinho, my prefer is Frank Lampard.

A year, where no player has really distuingished himself above the rest. Thus, I WOULD give it to Maldini, though it wasn't even his best year.

I'd say Maldini. 50th anniversary of Ballon D'Or could well be an exception, and acknowledge the best defender of the last twenty years in Europe. They might not have another chance. This cannot be another Raúl/Owen case, when Raúl deserved the win by far and Owen got it.

By the way, personally I give much more credit to the FIFA World Player award, as it is the national team's managers who vote the players, and not a French magazine and their friends. That's why some players that are not very spectacular slip into FIFA's list. By the way, how come Casillas is not in? Didn't anyone watch La Liga during 2005? OMG! :O
