Building a best team between so many and so various players is a subjective and difficult task, so this list is only a personal vision about who where the best position by position to do a 23-man squad I did in my blog.

What do you think about it and which would be your own lists?

Manager: Pep Guardiola
Team: the starting eleven of CF Barcelona. No so called all star team can be better than a team that does play and train together week in, week out...
All the rest is useless...there is no use giving individual awards in a team sport...for example the best RB can be the best RB because the RMF in his team is doing a particluar good job without being a star player. Put him in an all star team and the chemistry can be gone...

By saying this i don't want to criticize this thread...i'm fond of list and comparisions too (see my recent thread about the best club team ever, that is not the most reasonable thread ).

What i don't like about "teams of the year", that is the fact that people tend to forget unsung heroes....palyers who aren't stars but who are perhaps a key to the success of their clubs (and other players...just like it turned out that the most important players of the first Madrid galacticos team was Makelele and Xavi Alonso was much more important than Torres, Gerrard and Carragher for Liverpool...).
Football is a team sport and people tend to attach too much importance on individual (star) players.
