Looks good.

Not any price cuts that I am aware of, but new technologies coming up as always. G92, X38 chipset and Penryn and Barcelona processors all coming in a few months time.

Cheers Abhisek, appreciate all the help and advice you've given me. I'm gonna take the plunge tomorrow.

Will let you know how I get on. One last thing, Vista Premium or XP Prof? I have both, is it worth waiting a year to install vista or is it worth putting it on now?

Abhishek, you seem clued up on PCs :)

How do you go about over-clocking? I want to overclock my Intel E2160, I here yo can easily push it to 3.0GHz. And what kind of extra cooling do you require, and what can you do with the normal stock fans.

XP Professional \\:o/
But it really depends, the Vista layout is very cool, but personally I would get bored of it after a bit, and will be just like normal XP.

Well yeh, I am a bit of a computer/gadget/tech freak :p

Well, overclocking is mainly done through the BIOS of the motherboard, so having a good mobo is the most important. What mobo do you have?

Well, if you're going for a small overclock, stock cooling should be sufficient, but you should always keep an eye on the temperatures. But, if you want to go for a say 50% overclock, you should get an aftermarket cooler.

Noted.... PC gaming and upgrading is AWESOME fun! you dont know what your missing boyo!

Absolutely! You just get addicted to overclocking/modding and PC upgrades. I don't think there's been a month in the last 2 years, where I haven't bought a single PC component.

And NOTHING beats First Person Shooters and RTS games on a PC :8):

Console gaming >>> PC gaming IMHO!

:p

And thanks for the help dude on Overclocking, will look into it.

Abhishek, should I get the 64 bit or 32 vista ultimate?

EDIT: Never mind after googling it seems I should stick with the 32 bit :)

I'm on 64-bit Vista and it's a lot better - once you've got all the patches applied that is, to Windows itself and to your software. I still have a few things that won't work, a very expensive scanner for one (bastards), and a few ancient programs, but the difference in the response times is great. I'd say 64-bit is better but 10%-20% less compatible.

Agreed, but for certain games, like Action/Adventure or Sports games. RTS and FPS games are much better to control on PC :)

couldn't agree more on that , i dont know how people play fps games on consoles ... really weak and rubbish

PC with Mouse and Keyboard for FPS's :) allthough the 360 controller aint bad for FPS's

Just ordered this for £547 built and delivered.

Now to find me a cheap 19" monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse and card reader

ash, I check hduk out every afternoon :P

Ive seen a few of the monitors theyve posted for less than £100, they seem alright.

if your gunna get a 8 series nvidia card dont bother with anything less han a 8800. the reason is because an 8600/8500 are worse than the high end 7900 nvidia cards which is cheaper than a 8600
