Most of us thought Leicester would get relegated! :LOL: (To my defence though at the time I didn't know Ranieri was taking over, otherwise I would have ranked them 15th :D)

And also quite a few thought Chelsea would defend their title! :D

Mehtab was right about Chelsea (well he had a good hunch).

What a crazy season this is.

As a Spurs fan i can't wish Leicester to win it, now that we have a decent chance too (don't think we will however)...but if Spurs can't win it, please let Leicester win the title...good for Ranieri too...i wonder what Mourinho would think now...after all the abuse had for him while being in Italy.
 
Gerd, I'm beginning to think Spurs can actually win it. They are very consistent, have the best defence and if they can keep the likes of Kane and Alli fit then they have a real chance. Of course the Europa Lge may cause them a problem if they go a long way and Vertonghen is a big injury for them (not sure how long he's out but I think it was his knee so probably a while?)

If Leicester can come out of their next two games still on top then they have a real chance with just their remaining league games to play whilst all the others will be in European competition (well, barring Arsenal, who will lucky to avoid a Valencia style thrashing against Barcelona the way they are playing at the moment)

I've also couldn't resist putting a bet on Man Utd at 40/1 being just 10pts adrift and seeming to find a bit of form at last. The fact they are still in touch having been awful all season is a miracle in itself.

Personally, as I don't support a Premier team, I hope Leicester do it.
 
I have no idea. This season has been awesome. Leicester are 10 points clear of 5th place. City have their worst points haul since they got rich, Liverpool have like their 2nd worst haul, Chelsea have their worst since Abramovich and I'd wager United probably do too. Ie, all the big teams aren't performing well.

Arsenal looked like they'd finally sorted it, but then have fallen apart in winter (shock). Spurs have 1 senior striker, but the best goal difference in the league.

Nothing makes sense. It's wonderful.
 
hahaha, this is a very surprising season and makes for great television.

Honestly, I had no idea Chelsea and Leicester would turn out the way they are...i sort of expected the Utd, City, Arsenal, Pool and Spurs to be about where they are, but if you swap Leicester and Chelsea, then position-wise, its close to what many of us predicted. (Top of the table-wise as Newcastle, Villa and Swansea have disappointed as well)
 
On football Weekly people said that is the way the English league often was before the EPL. A litle bit exagerated, but yes, it was less predictable then....

Everybody seems to love it.
 
If that is true, then please let it continue. Its the best part of the English League in comparison to the other leagues. Other leagues all have a clear winner way too early and way too consistently that the others are just fighting for 2nd or 4th. Of course, we had the "big 4" before as well, but Spurs and City showed that they can fight too and became "big 6" and now a small team like leicester is showing that any team can do it. Southampton surprised many last year with great matches and ending higher than many thought, but Leicester is showing a whole different level of overachievement that is sustainable and pleasing on the eye.
 
I'd love to see Leicester do it, then followed by West Ham if I take the top 6 into the equation. Spurs would be good too following them.

However I do believe Man City will win it with a few points to spare.

I think one of the reasons perhaps for a more even Premier is that so many of the clubs have now been in it for years and with all the tv money are all now able to afford the 'better' players meaning they are spread around a little more, rather than the top few signing them all.

With the ridiculous sums of tv money coming from next season it's going to very very hard for any promoted team to compete unless they are one who has only just been relegated.
