As this generation comes to an end what are your favourite games?

1 - Burnout Paradise.

No other game gave me the satisfaction in both single player and multiplayer. No other game matched the (in most cases) instant switch from single player to multiplayer.

Tremendous DLC/game support with new features/game modes. My love for this game has no bounds and I wait patiently for the next Burnout game which hopefully will also have platinum Hawker cars and Delorean's.

2 - Battlefield Bad Company 2.

I stopped playing MW2 to concentrate on the BC2 beta. I wish they brought back the VIP program.

3 - Uncharted 2.

The best Uncharted IMO.

1. Last of Us
2. Batman Arkham Games
3. Tomb Raider

Might change when given more thought, also have not played GTA 5 yet as waiting for PC release, also never played Red Dead Redemption as hate playing games on consoles.

But just had to play Last of Us to see what the fuss was about.

In no particular order:

- The last of us
- GTA V
- Heavy Rain / Beyond Two Souls
- NBA 2K12
- Red dead redemption
- Uncharted 2
- Journey
- Demon souls / Dark souls
- Little big planet

I'll never remember all of my favourites but ones that jump out at me...

Oblivion
Just cause 1 (first time I'd experienced a world like that, so huge and lovely to look at)
Dragon age origins
Mass effect 2
Unreal tournament 3 (being able to have pc mods on a console! Wow)
Gears of war
Dead rising 1
Uncharted games
Last of us
Bad company 1&2
Cod (whatever came after modern warfare, world at war? It was my first taste of cod as we know it now with Xp and kill streaks)
Last of us
Alone in the dark
The darkness
Walking dead (telltale)
Infamous
God of war 3 (that first hour was incredible)
Guitar hero and rock band
Farcry 3 blood dragon
NFL 2K5 on 360
Crackdown
Warhawk
Flatout ultimate carnage

You liked the Last of us a lot, it appears twice! But you made me think of Rock Band, totally deserves a spot there. My wife still wants to play it now and then.

Not entirely sure what you mean by "this generation" but here goes;

Dark Souls PTD edition
Dragon Age Origins +expansions and DLC
The Witcher
The Witcher 2
Assassin's Creed (Mainly the original but partially the second as well)

Bayonetta
Catherine
Amped 3
Fallout: New Vegas
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Mirror's Edge
Vanquish
Resonance of Fate
Portal 2
Journey

Then some indie games like: Fez, Limbo, VVVVVV, Machinarium

Not a great generation in my opinion and many games I didn't play, but these are the highlights for me:

Uncharted trilogy
Skyrim
The Last of Us
Splinter Cell Blacklist

No PC games are different.

1. Fallout 3
2. Last of Us
3. Heavy Rain/Beyond Two Souls
4. GTA V
5. Xenoblade Chronicles
6. Uncharted 2
7. Far Cry 3
8. Demon Souls
9. Ni No Kuni
10. FIFA 08

I have to say this generation was amazing.
My 360 collection will end with the new Batman (178th retail game...)

20 games in no particular order:

Mass Effect (the game that I have played the most, easily 10 walkthroughs)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (this game is just perfect, I cannot wait for number 3 in HD!)
Uncharted 2 (you know why!)
Rayman Origins (best platformer, beautiful for the eyes and not too easy like Legends)
Call Of Duty 4 (standardized the FPS genre since 2007)
Dead Space (RE with a solid gameplay)
Rage (very fun game)
Bulletstorm (underrated, great gameplay)
The Saboteur (underrated, beautiful AD)
Super Meat Boy (died and retried hundreds of times)
Bioshock (mesmerizing)
Batman Arkham Asylum (Batman !)
Enslaved (underrated, beautiful game, great ideas)
The Witcher 2 (I didn't know I could like magic stuffs)
Mirror's Edge (sunk...)
Portal 2 (best coop of this generation)
Borderlands (second best coop of this generation)
Gears of War 2 (the blockbuster)
Darksiders 2 (zelda, just better)
Rock Band 3 (best party game)

The game that I absolutely hate: Alone in The Dark

From the 360/PS3 generation (and PC games during this time):

In no particular order....

Crackdown
Red Dead Redemption
GTAIV
Sleeping Dogs
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 4
Test Drive Unlimited
Midnight Club: LA
Gran Turismo 5
Forza 2
Forza 4
NBA 2K7
Saints Row 2
Bioshock Infinite
Tropico 3/4
Just Cause 2
Portal 2

Uncharted series. There are other great games but these just stand out for me, I love them all.

Fully expect The Last of Us to get in there as well, when I get around to it.

I'm playing The Last of Us atm, really really good. Depending on what you like possibly better than Uncharted due to the more serious "cinema" feel it has.

As for games (ps3/360)

Uncharted series
Last of Us
Bioshock
FIFA09 (version I enjoyed the most this generation...and seeing as how much time I spend on these it's worth mentioning)
Killzone 2
ProjectGothamRacing (probably the racing game I most enjoyed most)
Burnout Paradise
Heavy Rain
GoW
Portal
Assassins Creed 2
COD:Blops Online with mates

I've got GTAV in the cupboard so that might make it...

PES 2011
GTA V
Mirror's Edge
Battlefield BC 2
Halo 3
FIFA 08
The Last of us
NBA 2k series
Portal series
Arkham Asylum
Marvel's Ultimate Alliance
Little Big Planet

Easy, the best game ever was Red Dead Redemption, just loved the whole thing, absolute phenomenal game.

Best series of games has defo been Assassins Creed for me, I hope they don't drag it out too much, although really looking forward to this one as I feckin love Pirates!! :PIRATE:

Notable mentions:- PES, Max Payne 3, GTA IV, Walkind Dead Telltale, Unchartered series and I've certainly liked a fair few of the Army games i.e. COD, MOH etc.

These are ones instantly in the head, probably missing a few others though.

Thought given that we have now finished another console generation:-
So anything from PS4/Xbox One/Switch..
I would also say do not include any remakes or remasters - Otherwise Last of Us would win again...

1. Detroit: Become Human
2. Red Dead Redemption 2
3. Resident Evil 2
4. Player Unknown's Battleground - Sorry but can only include PC version for this, as it is damn awful on PS4.
5. Last of Us Part 2

I might have forgotten a couple of top games in here, but this is what I enjoyed most this generation.

This list might well change, as I have not played Uncharted 4 - Which is apparently the best ND game of this generation.
Also I don't own a switch and never likely too, so I don't have any Nintendo games on my list - Sorry Zelda..

1. Rocket League
2. Yakuza 0
3. Forza Horizon 4
4. Just Cause 3
5. The Talos Principle

Uncharted 4
God of War

Hopefully Ghost of Tsushima.

Struggling to think of any more.

BOTH this and last gen :

- GTA V
- the Batman Arkham games
- both Red Dead Redemption's (when I finished the 1st one, back then it was literally the best game I've ever played)
- The 4 (main) God of War games (spans 3 generations!!)
- The 3 METRO games (first 2 remastered, and Metro Exdous)

This gen only:

- Witcher 3 (PC with mods, of course... the last game that made me want to play it non-stop)
- Spiderman (regarding superhero games, as good or better as the Batman Arkham games)
- The Last of Us Remastered (missed it last gen)
- Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
- DOOM 2016 (NOT this most recent one)
- PES 19 (after incas provided a perfect gameplay mod ;) which until now is unattainable with PES 20)

Last gen:

- Fallout 3 (same as Witcher 3: PC with mods + wanted to play it non-stop)
- Skyrim (again, PC only with mods)
- NBA 2k11 and 2k14 (after that one, it was all downhill)
- Metal Gear Solid Subsistence (which is Metal Gear 3 Snake Eater with a proper camera behind Snake)
- Four Assassin's Creed games (the 3 "Ezio ones" and Black Flag... the other ones are not nearly as good)
- All 3 EA Skate games

Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption.
Dirt Rally 2.
Arise (drekkard's game)
The Forza Horizon in Australia

and very recently (perhaps not objective because it i'm playing for a couple of months now): Snowrunner: for met the suprise of this generation. Never thougt i would loose myself like this in a game about trucks. It is far from a perfect game, but it is the first game in years that has me hooked like this... must be since PES5 that i've enjoyed a game that much. The maps are the stars of this game. Fantastic mood in some of the maps like Island Liake and Lake Covd.

Negative: the decline of NBA2K and Myclub in PES. Both franchises are after cheap money.
