FIFA2006 PS2 Final version

The game isn't bad, it's just not as good as We/Pes series.
It has a staggering number of teams, leagues, game modes, real competitions.
And online the game is great, it felt like a totally different game. If they sort the shooting and long balls, it will be a serious contender.
I would give 7/10 to fifa single player, 8.5/10 when online.
Good try by EA, hope they can keep improving.

Agree ricks,online it feels like an entirely different game,TBH,I can't be bothered playing offline,had enough of that with pes.
My game of the moment is fifa,purely for online play,but come friday...

pros:
new classic controller gives WE control
excellent commentary
crossing actually looks alot real
being able to move the wall is a plus
penalty kicks are more on target
One handed saves that WE cant seem to GET!
Ball control on shooting is improved
overall gameplay improved this year


cons :

bad pitch texture
Players are too wide
too many none needed animations
easy to win or lose the ball
referee makes stupid decisions and the cards are too small
free kicks are too easy
corner kicks are worse, you cannot control after hittin circle to determine the power
Heading is a bit easy
Not enough tricks
Bad Replay controls

Honestly, I am a 30 years old guy who plays WE since WE4. For the first time I am giving Fifa a chance. It looks scripted sometimes and ball physics is crap, but at least it is fun. WE9 without crowd and with the "always tired" players is very annoying.

Also, agree with Wolf - Career mode is far away better then master league. The ability of changing to bigger clubs during your career is great.
