Has your PS3 ever broken and/or been replaced

Well some Americans have had problems with the Blu Ray drive being knackered within a few weeks of getting their PS3's, Another vid on Youtube showed a PS3 crashing in a similar way to an Xbox 360 with a knackered GPU e.g. Fuzzed Screen Crash. Ive even heard odd cases where the PS3 has been bricked after a firmware update.

\oops... yep... might be too early for a poll like this... i have had my HK PS3 for 5 months and forgot that the UK and US launches were later.... sorry

Well I queued at midnight on the 23rd for my ps3 , when i got it back home from the shop (which was 25 miles away) it was dead , no lights, no power, no nothing, a complete dud.

I have to admit I was a bit disapointed at that ,as you could imagine.

I got a replacment no problem the next day (plenty of machines in stock)

my replacment seems to be ok, but to be honest it dosn't get used that much due to there being a serious lack of decent titles around



feel free to say "I told you so" a couple of months down the line when theres a price drop
