I have read a few bits and pieces on the game, its shaping up to be worth a look

Played the demo at a mates house and i loved it

the precision aim is awesome, i shot em all over to see if they reacted differently and they do with each body part hit

someone try shooting them in the balls and see :)

Absolutely brilliant.

Said it before and I'll say it again, try to watch the film Hard Boiled before the game comes out, Stranglehold is the sequel to that. Loved the film, loving this demo.

I loved the demo. Theres a few niggles I have with it but I have too much fun to care!

Just hope they make a good multiplayer game. I used to play a Half-Life mod called the Specialists, where you could go into bullet time, jump off walls, jump really high, run fast etc (ala The Matrix) and it was BRILLIANT.

If they make a good multiplayer out of Stranglehold, I'll be chuffed

When I saw the multiplayer video at the end of the demo, I thought "uh-oh" - looks a bit daft. Takes 50 shots to bring someone down. And how would bullet-time work if there's five other people? The game would be slowing down all the time - Flawless, how did it work in the Half-Life mod? Did it not get annoying?

On the Half-Life mod, there would be pickups around the map. If you picked up slow-mo you could activate it when you wanted and it would only last a few seconds.

Anyone near to you would also go into slow-mo. It worked so well I think because slow-mo would only occur every now and then when people picked it up, so didn't get annoying

the only annoying part for me was the way he'd slide over table tops without you wanting him to.

It's like all the surfaces were covered in boby lotion and he was wearing PVC

It should only make you slide if your running of if you press something.

Other than that i love it - especially as the demo rewards you with unlocks for a 2nd and 3rd play

Wasn't too impressed, graphically looks like a decent current gen PC game, no more, gameplay I found annoying, too linear, too arcadey, too "corridor" shooter, this is next gen, I expect more from it.

It's supposed to be an arcade game though, it's not trying to be Grand Theft Auto with a million different options. You can survive 50-odd bullets, that should immediately show what the game is about. It's supposed to be exactly what it is, a totally mental shooter, a lot of fun.

If you're an utter realism nut then you're not going to like it but thankfully I think most can appreciate it for what it is.

Talk about sucking the fun from it...

Enjoyed the John Woo demo, however i got a bit bored from just jumping around lol. I really enjoyed the Darkness Placebo. I finished the full game a few days ago and really want to play it more. Its really fun destroying your enemies with all the powers you get.

Played the demo this morning, love it, awesome, cant wait, think its totally top fun! Really well put together, love precision aim and shoot out, amazing graphics too.

You better believe it. ;)

Tis getting time to play games never mind game demos is the hard thing.

Played the demo a few weeks ago, wasnt impressed. Its an oke arcade shooter but i found it boring doing the same every time. And looking at the videopreview on the end of the demo it didnt look like changing in the other levels.

Placebo I think it is worth the £20 - £25 price tag in Asia. Would never spend £40 on this though.

Naah I wouldn't even spend that on it, as soon is Fifa08 is out all my waking hours will go into that, or Tiger Woods 08 or Bioshock or any of the older games I never got round to completing, and then Assassins Creed will be out, then Splinter Cell Conviction, then GTA4, then The Outsider etc. etc. ;)

Blooody hell! This game is amazing! Played about 2 hours I think, and very fun shoot-em up!

One of the best games I've played on the 360 (I haven't played many :p)!

Would fully reccomend it!

It's a bit of a love/hate thing, isn't it? The guys are slagging it off in the PS3 thread, "fun for 50 seconds", but most people I know love it.

I have it but havnt played it past where the demo version ends

Either im going off games or i need a football fix
