Just watched the Babalu v Heath fight

That match was just wrong, never seen so much blood, nasty!

Haha Babalu got banned for that choke - that was the bit I was telling you about, the part where the blood lubricates the choke hold...niiiice :-##

Matt Hughes aint English!!!

Hes talking about Bisping who looked very good again. This drop in weight class is alot better for him

Davis and Swick was a good fight, only becuase Davis got Knocked down 3 times before he couldnt take anymore. Marquardt looked great as well and should have won or at least a draw with the point that was taken off for the back of the head shot that wasnt

i like the way the ref throws his hands up after he lets go WWE style haha

talking of slams...

some of you may or may not know fedor but he is arguably the p4p best fighter in the world, among others like bj pen

he has fought all the top heavy weights in the word and this guy is a machine.. watch him get dropped on his head, which probably cld of crippled a lesser man, but watch what he does after it...

ufc tried to sign fedor for millions but he turned them down, tim silvia recently left the ufc and is now fighting fedor in another organisation

for anyone who hasnt seen!

the now ufc light heavy weight champion, used to fight in pride a rival organisation who was competing with the ufc to have the greatest fighters in the world, pride was in japan.. silva was also in pride ( and was the champion for 5 years), before the ufc bought pride and brought some of them over to the ufc to fight in american in the cage

pride had different rules to the ufc, in pride you could stomp, kick and knee a downed opponent in the head, but you were not allowed to elbow to the head of a downed opponent.. i miss pride, they used to have open grand prix.. these were tournaments and even open weight ones, sometimes they would fight twice in one night including the inuries they picked up from the previous fight.. if you are a mma fan and have only been brought into it from the TUF's then you should watch some of the pride events here is one to start you off.. search for pride grand prix 2003.. very good tournament, chuck liddel went over to japan to fight in pride to represent the ufc, below is one of the fights from that event so its a spolier if you do go and look for it

here is silva v rampage fights that happened in pride, would be an interesting fight if they fought in the ufc, if silva remains champ from the griffin fight and silva keeps being brutal we wont have to wait to long

ill watch them later

when i was watching some KO's earlier i saw people getting booted in the head on the floor and stuff it looked alot more brutal than UFC

pride was, very brutal in places and the refs let the fights go when you could see the fighters were done

but there were times where fights were real battles and it was quite amazing to watch

pride was more brutal but even though you could kick ppl in the face/head and knee them etc, you would not get as many cuts or fights stops as the ufc, because the ufc people can try and cut you with elbows to end the fight early, hence all the blood you see from some of the ufc fights, normally at the top of the head where the blood pumps good aswell, can spoil a fight for the fans..

ufc you used to be able to knee to the head, but the Nevada state athletic commission stopped it and the ufc complied because they need to be on there side to be sanchend in the other states.. i think there is only 3 more for them to crack in america

this sport was once very brutal, well it wasnt a sport in the old days rangin back 10 years or so, there were hardly any rules, no weight classes, and it was 3 fights in one night and it was not commissioned, but funnily enough there was not any deaths unlike boxing

but it was still banned across the states and was banned in the uk to.. i was lucky enough to find a video of ufc 1 over 10 years ago in the video shop and i was hooked from that point

now it is a proper sport as is so explosive and dynamic, and a fight can be finished from many different positions unlike boxing, which makes it so much more exciting and believe it or not it is alot safer than boxing, boxing you get hit in the head over and over, even tho they have 16oz gloves, compared to the ufc 4oz... the ufc you will not see repeat punches to the head.. not 12 rounds of it, less people will get cabbaged in mma than boxing, but there will be more broken limbs because of it lol

ok i'll shut up now

Yeah seen that before, takes some strength to get a guy above your head like that

Boxing is more safer than UFC? From the bits of UFC I've seen, piledrivers and people getting mashed in the face, I'm not sure? UFC is nasty it seems.

Yeah it is more nasty but there have never been any deaths unlike boxing which is very strange considering in UFC they have little gloves and can knee, kick and elbow

i would say long term yeah...just for the brain cabaging than goes on! not for anything else

some fights are brutal, but they don't last long...

in boxing you get knocked out.. you have a 10 count to recover, when you get knocked out your brain rattles in ur skull. but you get time to recover and have the chance of it being done again and again

mma, u dont defend urself thats it, its over so u dont get unnecessary punishment and dont get anytime to recover..

in boxing it is 12 rounds of punching to the head, sometimes body to finish a fight with 10 counts and rounds to recover

mma, is 3x 5 min rounds with so many ways to finish a fight

in my opinion it is a safe sport in the long run, broken bones can repair brain damage can't

not to say mma isnt dangerous it is

thats just my opinion

It's the kneeing and elbowing that makes me cringe

ufc you are not allowed to knee to the head on a downed opponent, elbowing yes, but thats not that bad

mui thai has been going for decades and that is what has been incorperated into mixed martial arts, so kneeing to the head while standing is part of it

those fuckers kick trees when there kids, its like footy in the uk over in thiland there number 1 sport..

as for slamming ppl on the heads etc, that rarely happens

So did everyone watch the TUF finale?

Diego Sanchez vs Luigi Fioravanti was a great fight and the nightmares back :))

Riddle and Grove were impressive as well and im glad Sadollah beat CB becuase he a cocky cunt and Amir just seems humble and takes Forest's crown as the funniest guy in the UFC

Two of PRIDE's greatest fighters in one of its greatest tournaments faced each other in a very anticipated rematch. One its greatest striker in Mirko Cro Cop who had fought every great HW fighter with mixed results. Always the number one seed never the Champion, MMA's Dan Marino so close but never to the top of the mountain. His time to fight his greatest rival in Fedor was close if he could just win this tournament and every Pride fan wanted to see a rematch of one of its greatest fights ever. The man standing in his way "The Axe Murderer" Wanderlei Silva the 205 pound king in PRIDE for 2 years. As dangerous as Mirko was with his feet Wanderlei was just as dangerous with his hands. The stage was set in the Saitama Super Arena, Mirko Cro Cop Vs Wanderlei Silva was ready to go.
