I thought I would start a thread specifically for people who make and create mods & tools for this game.
There doesn't seem to be a place for this anywhere as the other threads are mainly specific for talking about actual mods and Q&A threads but I wanted to see if those that mod would like to talk a bit more freely about there thoughts on the modding community as a whole. I started tinkering with pes2014 onwards so Im fairly new and I notice many have been around for some time especially tool makers and wanted to see what there thoughts are on the current state of modding in this community.
For me the subject of Jenkeys was the thing that concerned me last year in terms of relying on one sole person for the tools to pretty much do anything meaningful with this game, and this year rang true when he is now not around, anyone know why?
Whats your thoughts about the limited amount of programmers in this scene to make such important tools we all rely on? Will they still be around for 2016?
Are you a coder and want to contribute more maybe for next year?
I am a believer in community in terms of sharing ideas, this works well but I notice for example you get many mods doing the same thing and lots of splintered choices, do you think thats good or would like like to see more collaboration in the scene for pes?
Do you think there is even a "scene" to speak of here, or do you think pes modding can be a little too fragmented?
What are your thoughts on using adfly and other such click link tools for your mods?
I also hope we have cpk loader for next year, I guess this will continue as tool works outside of the game, but are you a coder, do you think you could come into this and be the next jenkeys and actually create a fileloader tool for camera edits and such?
Do you believe in open source sharing, IE if jenkeys left the scene but gave us the raw code tools so someone could take up the mantle?
I would like to see a more galvanised scene with collaborations (for example do you think it would be good to see a mega face pack allowed by face modders for the best of the best to be community compiled).
Many question and thats the type of discussion, this isn't a mod request thread, or talking about how to mod (per se) but it would be nice to hear direct from modders and tool makers/ AI editors and such on what they feel about it.
Looking forward to 2016 do you think you will be back for more?
