I hope this is not true as I dont have a PS3 and will be playing it on the PS2 until I get my hands on one. I do have a Wii so I would be interested in how that plays now even more so if the PS2 version is rubbish.

hey, new here posting. Do you know if the PES2008 in europe can be played in a PS3 bouhgt in the US. I bought mine in this summer and I live in South America so Im not sure of that, and Im planning to buy mine as soon I see the pre order but This far, heres the only place i´ve seen it. Ofcourse you can, PS3 games are region free. Unless you're talking about the PS2 version then that's a different case.

Judging from the the look of it and the speed of play, i would say it's 4:3 stretched to widecreen. So no, it's not originally widescreen.

sorry konami but there must be a possibility to include a widescrteen mode for ps 2 at least. It was already possible in pes 5/6 on pc(kitserver) and it seems to be possible on wii (using the same engine like ps2 regarding to the pics they gave a few weeks ago) so damn why can´t they include it to ps2????

Secondly is there nobody who can change this like they did on pc, i know kitserver and so on, but the files has to be nearly the same, or don´t they?

Their a lot of ps2 users that have a lcd/plasma/widescreen television so how can you say something like "screw widescreensupport".
