thanks for the scans the grass looks great, i just hope it looks that good in the game, i need to see blades of grass flying around in high def or i will hunt down konami and bury them in my back garden.
 
Great! so the CPU will start cheating by pulling our shirts as we run past them... great :)
 
the grass still looks pants. AGGGHHHHHHHH.

the player models still look the same. AGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH.

This build has to be early there are no fans in the crowd (look at the inlay picture).

On the plus side the menus look very classy, and the shirt textures are different on each player... this has to point towards shirt physics :)

Ooooh im so excited to see what comes out of leipzig!

note the fans in the pub! im guessing its a new feature, they'll prob get people in the pub when you score, and the fans after the match is over. also im dying to see what that pic of espimas means, maybe we can do a one player season and build up that player individually living his life, signing new contracts showing up for training sessions etc...
 
what do you make of the manager pic? do you think its a new manager mode or is it just a simple detailed substitution feature?
 
Screen shots look great I reckon. The grass looks superb- would you rather it was blue??

Reckon the shot of the bench just automatically come up when the game is paused and therefore subs/tactics are being considered.
 
The grass texture looks good to me (compared to PS2). I just wish they'd get rid of the silly chequered patterns. I'm guessing they might keep the silly grass cuts the same.

thats what i was getting at. Look at a game in the premiership and you will not see a pitch that looks like that. It would be nice iof the pitch cut up during the game, I wish.

ps i am not a plank. Just a lover of all things PES.
 
I've always liked the grass cuts (especially the circle ones for some reason) as it has the bonus of helping how far out a long range shot is if comparing 2 shots on the same ground.

You'd hope that inset pic of the bench in the above photo is just in the pause menu? Sorry if that's been answered, too lazy to read the whole thread... ;-)
 
it hasnt really been confirmed yet but its probably happening whilst the game is paused when your making a sub
 
if my guess is right, they're using ageia physx, like 'little big planet', which allows some very cool cloth effects.
Check out some of the demos on the net.

just look for agiea physx demos. It will show you what the clothes should be like in ps2008
 
The screenshots look great but don't you think that compared to the pitch the players look really small?
