here is what i have been able to gather from what they have been saying........

*manual cursor change
*each player host a half
*2 v 2 - 2 ppl on each machine (not 4 machines)
*apparently u can play in unranked rooms :) (one of the main things i wanted)
* in the ranking system u can now lose points and lose more to lesser players.

im guessing the xbox will have the same kind of set up.

you definatley won't be able to play online off the hd, it might be possible to play with a modded ps2 but you'd need to change the id on the ps2 and network adapter to do this, i imported the us version of resi evil outbreak when it was first released due to the european version not having online play and patched it and my ps2/network adapter so i could play online, the only problem would be if the server checks your ip, i beleive the japanese versions won't let you connect to the server if your ip is from outside of japan

i don't know if we'll be allowed to talk about bypassing it on here because of piracy, i believe it's ok if you own the original (most people in the we/pes community do support konami) and are either from outside europe and want to import it and play online or if you want to play a patched version online (if someone makes an editor then it should be possible to play online with a british teams patch for example)
 
surely we cant play ps2 online still(till the game is officially released)(even if some of some of us have it..)
right?

Why not???

They wont just open the servers on release date as it may not be able to cope with 100's all banging in at the same time. The servers are open now because people are playing the full game already

Point scoring seems a bit harsh cos 9or10matches has won 9 lost 0 n drawn 0 but only has 174 whereas djsaunders has much more points, i know he has played quite a few more games but he hasn't really done any better

Maybe that guy only played against a very weak opponent.
 
The other day it came to my ears that PES5 on PS2 does not support headset. Does anybody know whether that is a fact ?
Do we have to play it on XBOX again to be able to talk (read:yell) at eachother ? Please say this isn't true !
 
well the ps2 beta version has a file called USBKEYBD.IRX I'm guessing that could be to do with either online or psp.

No Headset support, but as RAISH says, USB keyboard is.

You have 10 pre-set messages that you can use in game at replay's. You can customise the messages and there's no swear filter on it either by the looks of things :D

RE: Lag - host swicthes at halftime so you get one perfect half and one not quite perfect, but still better than the majority of pes4 xbox games.

There's a load of spanish geezers on there at the moment, there was about a week when it was just pesfan refs!
 
NO HEADSET SUPPORT?

WHY THE HECK NOT, Ive been looking forward to the online aspect most, but this has really pissed me off...

A free chat with your friends and its a heck of a lot more fun when you shout abuse down it when they score a flukey goal. THANKS VERY MUCH KONAMI
