There is a pal ntsc switcher. You can read about it in one of the 'gamespeedtopics' in the Winning Eleven section of this site. You will also find a downloadlink there.

I got my "copy" yesterday. Theres no need for patching to NTSC, there's an official frequency switcher between 60hz and 50hz at the begining of the boot (previous to the option file creation).

My impression is that the game didn't changed that much, only stats, menu graphics, etc, we might see some changes in the final version. But in the "gameplay department" i didn't see those changes Junka talks about. The only great change is the gameplay speed, the rest is the result of the visual ilusion that creates the much slower speed. The slower pace makes the animations look a bit more detailed. This might seem cool, but when you talk about controling the player and ball it can be a pain in the ass the time it takes to respond to the gamepad.

Not trying to turn down anybody, of course i'll give PES6 time and i'll get acostumed at the end, but if you enjoyed too much WE10, you wont see to much improvement and maybe the slow gameplay and reaction of the player will dirve you nuts. Well, on the positive side, we will be able to play it online, this is the only aspect where your money is worth the effort.

I really don't know why they delayed so much the release of this game (it should have been realesed with WE10). I think they disovered the trick, users usually don't respect the region limitations about games, so they receive orders for every release from every continet. A bit disappointing, but i'm an adict (like most of us) and you know, adiction pays well for the dealer.

Cheers

Anyone found any new tricks yet? Seems to me that the game is a tweaked WE10, but hardly anything has been improved. Running at pace with Ronaldinho or C. Ronaldo is awesome and the R2 touches feel sharper, but there are not enough improvements if you ask me.

Re: [PES6 PS2 Junka's Hands on pes6 review] pics+vidz

Ok, here's what I have seen so far in the game.

- Slower. A lot. Which is AWESOME! It really does feel like real football now because the slower pace allows for better control.

- The players respond better (at least in my opinion). I still see those situations in which after a player has lost the ball he seems "lost" himself for about a second or so... but it doesn't happen nearly as often as it did in previous PES and WE (included 10). Makes the game seem a lot more fluid and the players seem a lot more intelligent. Again, it also makes the game seem more like real football.

- Better referees. Not nearly as many fowls as in WE10, and, to my surprise, the advantage rule has been tweaked even more, to the point where called fowls are few and in-between.

- Keepers are MUCH better now. At least they don't do stupid stuff anymore. but this is sort of strange because they do seem a little bit easier to beat with shots that in normal life would probably result in goals. Again, this gives the game the sensation of being real.

- Much less lag, and no stuttering at all (some people had some stutter when the ball crossed the pitch boundaries... well, no more).

- New animations. Cannot really say exactly which ones, but it makes the game seem more real than WE10.

The first 5 minutes of playing it felt weird, mainly because of the slower pace. But after playing for 2 hours I went back to WE10 and I must say I love PES6 a LOT more now. It just feels a lot more like REAL football instead of an arcade game. Some of my results so far in High-level:

Manchester United - Juventus (sweet away kit btw): home 3-3, away 2-1

France (with Zidane in the formation) - Italy: Home 0-1, away 0-1

Olympique Lyon - Real Madrid: Home 1-0, away 2-0 (I cannot ask for more reality out of a footy game :D)

Now let's home someone comes up with a nice option file that has some bundesliga teams and some others.

So.....could we say that PES this year is much more near to a J-LEAGUE than a winning eleven 'standard version' ?

Slower, harder, more realistic..

I wanna try it!!!

:)

Here is a quote of what I wrote on an other topic, may it ask you a little, well , it is an opinion, that remains subjective :

I used to play WE9JL, better for me than WE9, himself better than PES5, I only played WE10 a few time, alone and with friends, for us, this one was really too 'arcade' (of course not as much as FIFA shi.).
Now, I think PES6 is really, really different from WE10, I mean, with WE10 players were too fast, too able to go from a goal to the other that it wasn't realistic, here, as in WE9JL, you feel like watching and (or) playing football, the gameplay is very different but I want to learn how to play, once again, it's a pleasure to play.
