Why do people act like the middleeastern part of the world don't exist? Arabs no.1 game is Football and they do happen to occupy a very large mass of land from north west africa to west asia. And incase you don't know, Zinedine "Zizou" Zidane is an arab. I will sign the petition, but i do not accept the fact that arabs are completely left out like they don't know what consoles are and jerk off over camels.

Is this technically possible though? Aren't pretty much all games Region-locked by default by the distributors or producers? Do they actually have a choice?

But I'll sign it, since it sends a message that we are interested in all PES/WE titles, not just the ones we are "given" for our region. ;)

I think what he means is that people from North America can play against people from Europe, Asia, Africa, South America without a problem. Cause if no one realized, us people here in Canada, USA and the whole North/South America cant play PES6 with someone from Europe. I tried so many times and couldnt. And thats what i think he means. I played someone from Dubai once, but i get i got lucky. I got an English lad on my friends list and i couldnt play against him cause his version of the game is different and thats just a piss off.

Why couldnt they do it like other sports games like FIFA 07 where everyone in the world could play each other and not make different versions of the game? I wanna play against Europeans and Asia and Africans and Australians and so on.

Ahh, I didn't think of that aspect.

Well, I definately think that this is what KONAMI should be aiming at. Yet another reason to release the same game all over the world, rather than fiddle around with slightly different versions as they do now.

guys… this petition alone backwards advantages for all we… everybody already knows that the We always leaves the first Japanese version, and if the guys of the Dkz, Welab, waterloo, obocaman, will have in hands the Japanese version twirling in the European devices, faster they will leave tools WE edition and faster we will be able to start to create patchs of the new console generation!

This would be wonderful. I hope this really happens, since I have an NTSC 360 and I can't play the game on it cos I don't know Japanese.

i think that's the future mate.Tekken is going online in a few days and when i say online i mean Usa,Japan,Europe all together guys.I truly believe that Shingo will go worldwide in the very near future

This is ridiculous for us in South/North America... we love footbal as much as any european, and we get the game like half a year later... I hope KONAMI decide on a single name for the game, and start launching it worldwide at the same time.

Over the last couple of weeks we have received many e-mail and posts on the blog questioning the region free capabilities of the PS3. With the news that the European version of PES 2008 will be released first many US, Japanese and Asian fans are hoping to get their hand on PES 2008 before it's released in their respective regions (Japan - Winter '07 / US - Feb '08). A couple of fans are asking questions regarding playing the game imported on Standard-Def (SD) and High-Def (HD) Television. This post aims to clear up any confusion regarding playing imported games.

Obviously, If you own a European PS3 then you will have no problem playing PES 2008 on an SDTV or HDTV. However, if you're playing PES 2008 on a US or Japanese PS3 then you will have to own a HDTV to play the game as it won't run on a SDTV. To Play the PS2 version you will have to own a PAL (European) PS2 or have a PS2 that can play games from all regions (region free).

Similarly, the new PS2 game J-League Winning Eleven 2007 Club Championship released in Japan on the 2nd of August will need to be played on a Japanese PS2 or a region free PS2. On the PS3 this game will only work on a Japanese console as it is a PS2 game. This is unfortunate for owners of US and EU PS3's, but unfortunately the PS3 is only region free with PS3 games when it is connected to a HDTV.

Xbox 360 DVD Key & Region Code hacked?

Seventhson of XBH has managed to change the DVD key and region code of the Xbox 360. He claims all he did was reverse the plaintext keyvault signature to figure out how to modify and resign the KV contents. DIGG THIS!

I successfully changed the DVD key and region code of a 360. So it's all confirmed. All I did towards this was to reverse the plaintext KV (Key Vault) signature to figure out how to modify and resign the KV contents. And even this work was built on the efforts of other hackers. For example, I didn't locate the region code in the KV and a lot of the SHA1 and RC4 encryption code was reversed and documented by others way before I started looking at it. *If* the region code tests are successful, then the following people contributed *much more* to this achievement than me. Takires, TheSpecialist, Robinsod, tmbinc.
