Just to let you know that the forum rules have been updated, you'll find the announcement at the top of each forum.

Only slight amendments have been made, one is that text speak is now specifically mentioned as against the rules. The other change is the way bannings/warnings work, essentially it's a yellow/red card system. These are explained in the announcement.

Feel free to post any feedback here.
 
"Signatures must be no more than four lines of normal-sized text" - my signature is over four lines but it's in the smallest text-size possible. Do I still need to chop it?
 
I'm glad a rule has been put in place against text speak. Is there any chance of a similar rule for posts made without the use of basic grammar?

No, it's only to stop excessive signatures. You're ok for now but obviously are renowned for being a troublemaker so be careful.

It would be dangerous trying to enforce such a thing but I appreciate where you're wishing to pedant from.

Yeah, I understand. I didn't mean to sound too pedantic. My comment was aimed at those who post line after line of solid text, without using a well placed coma or full stop to break up what they are saying. I'm not bothered about the minor stuff. As long as you can understand what someone has written.

I understand you, but please don't forget that there are quite a few non native English speakers who make mistakes now and then...
 
I've always realized that gerd. It's completely understandable in this instance. I brought up this problem with the thought of non native English speakers in mind actually. A lot of users who's first language is English write this way, which must make it harder for those who's first language isn't English to understand. Anyway, I thought I would mention this because it ties in with text speak IMO. When combined, the poster might as well be speaking a different language. I doubt there's a way of addressing this though. It's just a small grumble I suppose.

I never said it's bad I just think you should welcome new members rather than relying on the clique that already exists. Certain members can say certain things but others can't. This forum isn't allowed to expand because certain members that post here hold it back. Banning Alucard was just ridiculous. I understand when it's a kid posting porn or being childish eg. "OMG U R A FUCKING TWAT" etc but Alucard was just making debate and venting his thoughts. Because a few wanky mods didn't agree he gets banned hence my comment "Let the Nazi regime roll on."

You can ban me - but I'll keep coming back. I am not here to annoy others, it's just my humour many people don't understand. I don't intend to offend others but lets be honest; there are loads of wankers in this world and no-one is ever going to agree with everything someone else says.

I love you all - keep the faith and let the machine roll on. ;)

Maybe it's because it's not in my nature to be rude, but I don't see why it is necessary to start flame wars. Perhaps things shouldn't be taken too seriously - but there are people who don't feel the same and you should respect that (that is why the rules are in place)...I'm thinking that your argument may be that it is the internet and it's therefore "not real" :roll:. It is real...and maybe people such as yourself and Alucard (and whoever) should learn respect and how to interact with others who maybe different to you. There are a lot of people here who love their football clubs (maybe a bit too much) so that don't give you the right to barge into their dedicated thread and piss about. I like the odd banter and that, but Alucard just seems to talk the most illogical crap and troll about all the time.

Surprising as it may be to you, most of us aren't aren't loners or saddo's as you desperately want us to be. Most of us do have flourishing lives outside of the internet but don't feel the need to talk about it. Maybe it's because you are insecure about yourself hence why you feel the need to insult or brag about how "cool" you are(?). Please try not to congest up forum with your useless posts/threads - it makes it difficult to decipher the important news when I'm having a quick browse ;)

We indeed do have our pasts. Some of us have changed though and realise that this is only a web forum and what happens here doesnt really matter to our normal day to day lives....
