Konami Japanese message about PES6 from today

"Some web sites have the report (or an expression which is possible to mislead) that Konami's soccer game "Pro Evolution Soccer 6" will be an exclusive title for Xbox 360, but such a fact doesn't exist.

We are developing "Pro Evolution Soccer 6" for multiple platforms to be played by many fans."


What is it exactly ?

Konami formally denies that there is an exclusive agreement with Microsoft for PES6...

I think its trying to say that PES6 isnt exclusive to X360 and will appear on many other formats. Whether or not that includes other next gen consoles, I've no idea.

That's good news, but the January 2k7 or later releasedates is not so good news..

it is only exclusive to the next gen...so it will b realeased on ps2 n xbox..pc ...its only a next gen exclusive for 12 months...ps3 shud probably get it a year later

For me Konami speaka about PS2, PSP, PC and DS, but everybody know that it's Exclu Next Gen on 360, so why Konami do that ?

I know Konami work on PS3 and Wii version but this consoles don't out the 20 october, so maybe for later

PS: and all remember Microsoft about the wrong exclusivity about GTA in E3 2006

very true.

I think Microsoft were very clear about their 12month nextgen deal, but Im also confused why Konami felt they had to come out with that statement.

Maybe to establish that WE and PES are different?

i think WE11 out this year on PS3 and maybe on Wii

There is no deal made between Microsoft and Konami for keeping PES6 away from the PS3 for 12 months. Konami probably didn't plan on developing PES6 for the PS3 so early because it's a system that didn't even come out yet. So all Microsoft did was point out the obvious by saying:

Delivering on the worldwide demand for Xbox 360, Xbox Live® and Games for Windows, Microsoft revealed key additions to its Windows Vista™ showcase library and Xbox 360 titles today at the 2007 Games Convention in Leipzig. In addition to announcing new European-centric board games for the hugely successful Xbox Live Arcade on Xbox Live, the premier online gaming service, Microsoft announced that the next generation of soccer will be available exclusively on the Xbox 360 console this year. With “FIFA 07” from Electronic Arts Inc. As you can see that's taken from the official press release, all they say is that they won't be available for the PS3, it doesn't say about any deal or contract made.

If they are releasing a ps3 version this year that means they only have one month and half after the ps3 is released.

January or Feruary would be more realistic.

And if Konami are currently working on a winning eleven title for the ps3; why didn't they announce anything.

Least they can do is inform us that there will be a winning eleven on ps3.

At its press conference earlier this week, Microsoft made the announcement that Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer (known as winning Eleven to us) and EA's FIFA Soccer would both see a year's exclusivity on the Xbox 360, making its next-gen console "the platform" for soccer fans. This was seemingly a huge win for Microsoft, considering how popular Soccer is in the European and Asian territories.

Now, however, we're starting to hear a different story. Speaking with Winning Eleven producer/creator Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka earlier today, we learned that Microsoft made claims that were untrue. "The presentation was misleading," he told us. "We never said exclusive for one year on the next-gen platforms. We said this year. We were agreed that it was this year."

According to Takatsuka, Microsoft's claims have caused some issues for Konami (with Sony, no doubt), and he definitely wants to set the record straight. Winning Eleven is exclusive to the 360 for this year, but it's likely a case of necessesity (the PS3 game, which he confirmed is being worked on, isn't far enough along in development) rather than some major exclusivity deal with Microsoft. The PS3 version could ship as early as next spring, he admitted, though no timeframe has been set yet. The only thing certain is that it will absolutely not release before January 1, 2007.

Interestingly, although EA has no official comment on the matter yet, sources indicate that FIFA may not have a year's exclusivity window for next-gen platforms either.

' Pro Evolution Soccer 6 ', in order for you to enjoy to your many customers, directing to the plural platforms, it is advancing production.

As you can see in the pictures Wii will also have "normal" controllers, so there wont be any problems playing football games:

Can't believe people actully believe the rumor started by MS.

KONAMI never said anything. MS did and they made fools out of themselves.

I told ya all WE would come to PS3 next summer. :) :)

No because isn't a remake of the PS2 version (like PES6 360 and WEPES 2007 for USA), it's totally real new next gen version, soi think the first PS3 version still WE11.
