Re: Winning Eleven XBox 360 - Presentation 6 April

There won't be ANY 360 version until a version is released for the PS3 and ported to the 360.

If you think Konami are going to release a version specifically for the 360 you must be crazy! Gamespot and all the other website have zero info other than rumors and quantum leaps based upon hearsay and bad translation.

For a company that won't support the U.S. market beyond releasing a version almost a year old every year, what on earth makes you think they'll release a special version for a console that has only sold a few thousand units in Asia. Konami couldn't care less if the 360 had sold 500 Million worldwide outside of Asia, they ONLY support the Asian market first and then port the versions to other consoles.

The announcement will likely be that WE9 is now backwards compatable. Obviosuly, like the rest of you I'd love to see a 360 version, even if it's just a WE9.5 (slight upgrade) but it's not going to happen.

Re: Winning Eleven XBox 360 - Presentation 6 April

Well, for the record, I think WE10 will come out on the 360 - but it will be a port of the normal versions, with the only improvement beig the resolution.

tomorrow if any winning eleven is announced I will laugh in your face, in a mourinho stylee.

No way would they announce a backwards compatible update beside new titles such as virtua fighter (apparently this would only ever be made on ps3 first too) and Afterburner, what would be the point???

get over the ps3 only lark. Konami isnt owned by sony you know.

Re: Winning Eleven XBox 360 - Presentation 6 April

Thomas what time in britain can we expect the conference to take place? with it being in japan, im not that good with time zones etc

Re: Winning Eleven XBox 360 - Presentation 6 April

It is going to be WE/PES Next Gen in November this year for christ sake! thats what Seabass himself has comfirmed and it is for Xbox 360 and of course will make its transition to PS3 once that comes out! Do you honestly think Konami is going to ignore the fact that the Xbox 360 has been out since November in the USA and December in the rest of Europe and Japan? and the fact that they have had Xbox 360 Dev Kits for almost a year now? Think about it?

Re: Winning Eleven XBox 360 - Presentation 6 April

I totally agree with the point of this being bad marketing sense by Konami in announcing anything to do with a next gen version WEEKS before WE10 comes out.

For that reason I also agree it will be high-res version of the current game.

We'll know all tomorrow morning.

Even , just a WE10 for xbox360 , which supports 1920x1080 would be a BIG step ahead.
I, for sure will be happy for that...

Lets w8 and see

Microsoft Media Briefing in Japan Underway
What will they unveil? Read.
by Luke Smith, 04/06/2006

The Xbox 360 Media Briefing in Tokyo, Japan at the Tokyo International Forum Hall is underway. Microsoft has reiterated its desire to improve action and RPG titles for Japanese gamers and then proceeded to show games we already knew existed like Bomberman: Act Zero and Final Fantasy XI. They showed the FIFA 2006 Xbox 360 bundle and announced an Xbox Cup taking place online for the title.
Then, Microsoft announced that the Xbox Live Arcade would be seeing titles from Bandai Namco, Hudson and Konami and the software giant officially announced Pac-Man and Galaga are both coming to Xbox Live Arcade. Further, the Xbox Live Arcade will support worldwide rankings for both titles.

Microsoft announced that Bandai Namco is developing Zegapain, an anime/game collaboration that will boast downloadable content. Here's the official site.

The Gundam series will see an online game. Details from the conference were sparse, but the title is an FPS.

Bandai Namco announced that the Culdcept series would see a new title in the Xbox Live supported Culdcept Saga.

There will be a Lost Odyssey demo disc later this year and expect to see Blue Dragon before the year ends. The folks behind the Star Ocean and Radiata Stories at Tri-Ace studios are working an yet-to-be titled RPG.

Game Arts and Square Enix announced that they're collaborating on Project Sylph, a shooter, is in development. Game Arts is the company who made Silpheed for the PS2, for the PS2, which makes us wonder if "Sylph" is just a sly hint at a possible new addition to the Silpheed franchise?

Re: Winning Eleven XBox 360 - Presentation 6 April

Re: Winning Eleven XBox 360 - Presentation 6 April

Xbox 360 Conference in Japan: First Online Full Report
Crisis point forces MS' hand.

Staggering into the light in Tokyo, SPOnG brings you the full skinny on what Microsoft has planned for the Xbox 360 in Japan, well before, according to our estimations, any other outlet on planet Earth, where we all live.

The conference began with Xbox Japan lead Takashi Sensui admitting that the 360 has 'very much underperformed' in the country, a fact not lost on the largely Japanese audience, comprised of press, retail executives and various third-party publishing representatives. Microsoft also issued a no photo or video directive, enforced by a small army of patrolling security staff.

A short, somewhat baffling explanation of XNA followed, along with the underlined commitment to the Xbox 360 FIFA bundle and the promise that every attendee would be taking home their very own soccer ball...

Sensui did point out that some areas of 360 have been a success, with the Xbox Live Marketplace seeing 520,000 downloads in Japan, a higher rate, per unit, than anywhere else in the world running at 5:1.

It is this online strength Microsoft is seeking to build on, announcing some massive additions to the Xbox Live Arcade service. Sensui announced non-specific support from Konami, Hudson, SNK, Namco, D3 Publisher and Bandai. Games highlighted including Galaga and Pac-Man. Various Anime HD exclusives were also announced with Zegapain perhaps the biggest, though we'll defer to Lupos on that.

The bigger announcements then began rolling in. A trailer for a new online Gundam game was shown, bringing the first real spark of cheer to the crowd. This was immediately followed by the announcement that Namco's Culdcept Saga would be going online over Live.

Final Fantasy godfather Hironobu Sakaguchi then took to the stage, bringing about absolute silence. Sakaguchi's like Elvis in Japan, just not fat and still alive. And a maker of role-playing games rather than brilliant rock 'n' roll tunes, followed by really horrible 70s ballads. Sorry. The big news he offered was that Blue Dragon, the RPG currently underway at his new Mistwalker studio will be launched during winter of this year. He also outlined that a demo of the developer's next title, Lost Odyssey will be released in Autumn.

An undisclosed Final Fantasy game was also promised for 2007, not by Sakaguchi, we hasten to add. To pour petrol on the fire was the announcement that Tri-Ace is developing an unnamed action RPG exclusive to 360.

A new Sylpheed game was then on the block, with Game Arts announcing a joint project with Square Enix known as Project Sylph, an astounding shooter from what we could tell. This revelation stirred more interest than the distant promise of a Final Fantasy.

More attendees left muttering that no 'Tales of' game from Namco was on offer, a title which Microsoft reps have touted repeatedly, if off the record, as being in the bag. The other surprise no-show was Sega Phantasy Star Universe, another game various sources had confirmed to many journalists on the run up top the show. Indeed, the complete lack of new Sega software came as a great surprise to many, though it is expected that Sega will comprise a major part of Microsoft's E3 conference this year.

No news on Winning Eleven at all .... anti-climax I say.

Re: Winning Eleven XBox 360 - Presentation 6 April

There is always E3 next month for big announcments, I mean, lets face it MS are gonna need a few big hitters that aren't Halo to see em' through especially with both Nintendo and Sony ready to unleash their wares on us.

Re: Winning Eleven XBox 360 - Presentation 6 April

WTF happened to Virtua Fighter 4 and Afterburner too? Seems like whatever Thomas found was an April fools joke!
