Selling pirated copies of WE9 on eBay with patches created by members of this forum.

I've reported him to eBay and sent him a nasty message. Any other registered users of eBay feel free to do the same. He's making a fortune too by the looks of it - off somebody elses work.

these people have no repsect they charging $41 for a copied game christ almighty man these people make you sick £22 they get from someone who buys.

Stop advertising them.lol

Its a real shame but ebay make money off this too so i dont think they will do much

if he's makin money then you cant blame him, it doesnt affect you in anyway either so there's no point in gettin' pissed over it.

if you made patches for we9 for free then someone else uses your patch to make money, wouldnt you be pissed?

not really, if you make them you run the risk of people selling them on ebay, there is nothing you can do about it but it doesn't affect your life in anyway. its just one person making money off somebody that is stupid enough to pay him.

lets face it, the only reason how anyone could be pissed over this is that they aren't the one making money.

This guy is wanker - i bought one "his" discs & have only myself to blame when it didn't work. So i tried to get an exchange & this knob never replied my emails so i gave a really negative feedback & the guy was pissed that i dared to slag him off. I told him he was scamming someone elses work & selling at a extortionate price & he's a MF. I hope ebay f**k him off.

surely something can be done about this blatent piracy thief. The "internet police" are constantly closing down torrent sites and prosecuting the people who set these sites up which is a great deal more difficult to do than to catch a twat like this one who has obviously given all his personal details to ebay in order to sell stuff in the first place. ebay should be prosecuted themselves for allowing this to happen. ebay are just as much to blame. you can't sell a porn film on ebay but you can deal in copyright infringement of the highest order. well done ebay!

Honestly, I must say no. I would not expect anything less and I am not surprised. Ebay is bullshit, I never sell or buy anything there. Here in Switzerland we have a much better online Auction Site.

I bought off a guy what I thought was a genuine copy, turned out to be a patched game so I cancelled it. Prick has sold about 500 copies of WE9 and PES4 at about £15 a pop.I hope he gets fucked.

I had a swap magic sale cancelled because it was software unlocking yet this guy gets away with it. It's shocking. I was only using swap magic to play my american games and get WE9 Jap edition. They need to sort out their priorities.

If you want to drop him in it then you could always send a mail to Konami explaining what he's doing and leave it to them.

Just let them get on with it. You won't change their ways so don't bother. By the way, all you people complaining about selling patched games on the internet because of the work the patchers put in and everything. Well those guys are stealing the rights to sponsors, changing the game when it is illegal to do so etc, so they've not innocent either..

Yeah, but you're not "stealing" the rights to sponsors, if you're not making any money out of using them. Adidas pay Newcastle United thousands of pounds a year to have "adidas" written above the exits at St James Park. So if someone makes a version of St James Park with "adidas" instead of "Konami" written there, uses it themself in their own personal game, and puts it out on the internet (for free) so others can use it... how are they "stealing" from Adidas? In fact, they're supplying Adidas with free advertising!

If someone walks down the street with a Konami T-shirt that they've changed with a marker pen so it says "nikefootball.com", are Nike gonna get angry? No. If someone start selling these T-shirts for £15 a go, THEN Nike can get angry.

Technically, there is some legal problem with patching, but patching the way people on this forum do it is only *technically* copyright violation, and if you already have the game, you're not doing anything so wrong that you could actually get prosecuted. The point all this becomes illegal, illegal enough to prosecute, is the point where money changes hands.

It's not going to be much of a help, but my next patch will include a screen saying "this patch was made and distributed for free - if you have paid money for it, you're a mug and maybe that will make you feel pissed off enough to REPORT the guy who sold it to you to the copyright police..."

if authorities wan't they catch them. It's Konami and police bussiness to chase these pricks, not ours.

Like already mentioned above, some people are mugs and will pay stupid money on ebay. thats how and why these people get away with it!

but also like already mention the patchers are actually breaking konami's copyright!

konami are selling winning eleven to a different market than the europeans, so changing japanese language and japanese text to english, is surely going to help fk the sales for pes5.so in theory konami will surely be pissed at that

so either way it's all bollox!

and these people selling it as thier work, takes the piss! they should get shopped, and ebay should warn them or ban them! as infact they are breaking ebay rules, not only are they breaking the patchers copyright, but they are breaking ebay's policy

That's a really intelligent response! I guess we should really have looked to you first to solve the problem.

BTW, where the freak is HertFRODshire?

Guys you really need to get a grip and stop letting things which dont really concern you get to you...seriously the guy is making money, big deal-yall are probably mad coz it isnt you making the ££...you should just let him be 'til somebody catches him.

Disgutsya at all the people that are moaning why are you mad for? dont you realise that making modifications to the game is illegal anyway, so stop snitching

lol ^ says the people who are selling them!

what allot of them don't realise, is that all it takes is trading standards, or the internet police to get sold a copy.. that is enough for them to get a warrent, and give you atleast 4 months in prison... now what else are they going to find on these peoples pc's.. and more copies at home.. seriously get fked..

not worth it, is it!

Guys u have created a monster. since u teach that guy how to copy and patch the game, if u don't want him to make money of it, go for it, place ur own place on e bay and sell the game too. and make some money.

What we do here, it is illegal to patch u need to copy that is illegal since people don;t have the copyright and after doing modifications to the game is more illegal and even worse putting a chip to the ps2 to can play copys of games, is helping the piracy, so do not complaint about this guy, all the money he is making as a guy said before he is going to have to pay for it, cuz he is going to jail, what he is doing is really stupid, is like selling in the newspaper copies of music cds.

I don't agree with the practice, and I can understand that patchmakers themselves might be disheartened or fustrated by it all (for whatever reasons), but at the end of the day it's nothing siginificant, and there isn't any need to get your knickers in a twist.

Feel sorry for the patchmakers. If anything, I feel that guy should channel some of his ill gotten gains to them. (if they're ever interested).

Anyway, it's an old problem. It's everyones up in arms since someone saw it on E-bay. Big deal. Anyone whose buying it of E-bay is THE biggest sucker, IMO.

Cause he's paying how much, $15-20 is it?. There are bigger pirates who are mass producing this, and only pushing it for USD 1.50 retail. Manufacturing costs are only bout USD 0.50 /disc. Mind you these are 'pressed' discs, not self burnt so quality is about 99%. And they'll gladly give you a refund/excahnge for any faulty disc.

Cheers,

Actually, modding the game is NOT illegal. I emailed Konami of europe regarding all aspects of patching this game and their reply was that if you have paid for the game and you personally mod it for your own use, then your basically ok. The personal patching of this game can no way be compared to what this arsehole is doing on ebay. And as for the "moaners" on here only causing a fuss due to the fact that they aren't making the money, thats a solid gold nugget of bullshit if ive ever heard one. I just can't understand how some people have got the nerve in the first place to commit this kind of theft. I wouldn't be jealous of some shoplifter because he's just got away with nicking a DVD. Same applies to this twat.

Plenty more, bigger & meaner fish in the sea.

But I have to say, I dislike sycophantic lynch-pinning, whenever I see tell tale signs of it appearing I just have to turn my nose up and say 'no, no, no'.
