Vista & PES5 & 6 Problems

Played this a few times on windows vista Home premium and ive started having problems.The problem seems to happen when i shutdown and restart and try and then launch the game after.The games exe continues to crash even with the games disk in the drive.This aint a copy but a genuine dvd bought from hmv online.The game runs fine untill i shutdown and then constantly crashes when trying to launch.And tries to send a error report which i quickly cancel.Ive also right clicked the game exe and set it to compatibility mode windows xp sp2 and checked run as admin.But problem persist and its annoyin cause ive so far today spent a lotta time setting the game up how i like it.Any ideas guys cause theres bound to be others with vista hopefully in my case having same problems.

Both PES5 & PES6 im having the same problems with both

I have this problem with pes6 but mine is patched and modified with evolution 1.3 and kitserver 6.4. What usually works is to remove and then install kitserver everytime you restart the game. Just open kitserver in your pro evolution file, go to setup and just 'remove' then 'install' and it should run fine.
Works for me so far.

wow cheers for this just read this now after having a browse about.Downloading now i dont suppose theres a update for PES5 as well is there.if not i ll carry on doing the same as dooshy suggested
 
Who did this update to the kitserver? Is it possible he might make it compatible with PES:W2007 also?
 
I did id like to see update for kitserver in pes5 though.If it aint to difficult.I know pes6 is out now but a lotta people still play pes5.

I did ("Originally Posted by Robbie"). And the kitserver for WE: PES2007 will work with this too, as soon as it is released. But this might take some time since there are a lot of addresses too be adjusted to the new exe. Watch the other thread, there is already an alpha-version with lod-mixer.

Ok. I'll see what i can do. Now i found out what the problem was, i hope i can do that for the pes5.exe as well. Fortunatelly the setup.exe is not changed too often and built up similar for pes5 and pes6.

This fix is only interesting for Vista users, there are no new functions. It just fixes the problem that you had to reinstall Kitserver after restarting Windows.

Installation is very easy:
  • simply extract the setup.exe from the attached archive into your kitserver folder, overwritting the existing one
  • start it and press the "Remove" button
  • click on "Install"
That's it.

I will test it soon as i have pes5 installed.Im installing it now.Im using windows vista home premium.

Update

Runs perfectly thank you very much.It runs better than it did before infact.Ususally id get about a 20 sec freeze when tryin exit the game but its instant now.Thx very much :8):

Ok, thx for testing. But WHICH PES used to freeze? I heard of this problem for PES6. So this also happens for PES5? With or without kitserver installed? Btw, i can't imagine why this fix should solve that problem, once you installed kitserver it is no big (only important) difference, at least none which should influence that problem. Strange thing, that Vista...

These links are all long dead - does anybody still have this or a newer version that contains this fix?


Also, does anybody have an idea why my PES 4 & 5 & 6 (on Vista64) love freezing for 2-20 seconds A) in the controller selection menu B) when doing ingame button configuration C) whenever I press start/escape ingame? I'm using Xbox 360 controllers (one wired, one wireless), but unplugging them didn't help either. The last time I played PES6 I could actually play one match without that problem, actually skip goal replays without hammering start for 15 seconds, but then it reappeared and plagued me for hours. Another time it seemed to work as long as I pressed escape and the controller's start button simultaneously.

I don't have the files but you can just remove and then install kitserver each time you start your computer.

Interestingly enough, this issue is gone in Windows 7.
 
In PES4 under Win7 I just had to reinstall Kitserver for it to launch, wouldn't even show an error, just didn't show anything and then eventually disappeared from taskmanager after a minute or two.

The other issue I still have in Win7 with PES 4-6.
 
because sometimes patches taht are released contain false correspondances with FACES ,KITS or else , which make the game crash.

here is a patch that works perfect and for season 2009-2010
Stonecold edition for PES6 in download area.
