Don't care about the PS2 version we know they have reached the end of any progress there.
However to contradict myself if they do change the game entirely it shows how Konami have got lazy and waisted the last two years doing nothing.
But the xbox 360 while the ps3 is not around is where to look for more news

Prepare to do some serious jailtime RuneEdge because this is for PS2. I checked the site and that short article had a large ps2 logo sitting on top of it. But i think the ps2 will still offer room for improvement, although i would ofcourse prefer a next gen WE10.

That's a really good news, but I hope Konami will speak about this game more than they talk about WE9 :-( !
We just have to wait, and maybe, we'll know very soon if there are new licenses in Winning eleven 10 :-)

This comes out from trader's reports. A confirmation of Konami is not present yet.

Could be a load of BS as far as we know.

Its too far off for me to be concerned with. Still having the time of my life playing PES5 PC(Superpatch 3.0), WE9 PC Asian(PaulB's Championship option file), WE9 J-League(unpatched) & WE9 Jap(WEndetta Lab)... I guess I'm addicted :lol:

yep exactly.

We all knew this was coming, but I have to say it much earlier in the year this time.

Come to think of it, its quite obvious why this is happening...World Cup year! Cant believe I didnt realise this sooner. No 'LE' or 'FE' so they can release a version slightly earlier in time for the World Cup.

Talk about cash in

It would make sense for them to release the game before the World Cup, but I hope it's not a half-arsed attempt like with FIFA.

As ever we can rely on Thomas getting us the news first

I can see this thread getting packed again soon when the scans start appearing.

Imo the date does fit. I remember back in the day WE games used to be released around April didnt they? What bugs me is that Konami always leave it super late to give us any info. When WE9 came out we got news and pics around 3-4 weeks before release!

I just hope they give us some preview pics on next gen WE

Well dont be fooled by the time gap of the two titles. As you know Konami have released various updates of WE9, including different versions for different countries (WE9 INT for North America, Korean WE9 soon to be released etc).

Then you have to think about the obvious hardware limitations Konami face with the PS2. I can see something similar happen to when the last few WE games came out on PSone. Tweaked the gameplay a little bit but graphically it was the same.

In all honestly I really want to believe that the reason we didnt see a 'FE' or 'LE' version of WE9 was because Konami are busy working on the next gen version. Im sure we'll have more info in 10 days time.

No need to "want to believe" because it's true

no "FE or LE" this year only a WE9 litte price and the 27 April the WE9UE (PSP version) in Litte price too.

i m agree too, i m sure konami prefer to make a xbox360 version for the 5.000 sold in japan, insted make easy money just before the world cup on PS2/xbox/psp/ds...

Yeh but you forget they could also release Pro evo title in Europe too then the xbox 360 would come into play financially

don't forget most of them has been done by the corresponding countries konami central, not the "original" we team from konami japan.

there really is no point konami releasing any WE game on 360. the sales are that poor it just wouldnt be worth it.

if they gonna release a 360 game then they must release a revolution game also as the revoultion will sell much more than the 360 does.
