WE10 on PS3jap HELP

hello ,
i am the lucky owner of a playstation3 japan version.
I would like to use pes6 or we10 on my new console.
I have a question: is it true that for the ps2 games the ps3 is region locked?
I would like to use pes6 just for the english/italian language, but if my ps3 is japan I cannot use it (right?)

So is there any chance to translate the language of we10(or part of it) from japan to english using an original dvd of the game on my ps3?

Yes PS2 games are region locked, only thing you can do is to transfer an option file to your WE10, no editing is possible (unless there's a mod chip in the future)
