What do you guys think of this Samsung LCD HD (ready) screen!

Thats not bad for its price but you cn get many others in that price range. I saw one in a catalogue that was more it less the same thing but it cost about £100 more and was made by Sony. It came with all the features of your tv but with extras such as built in freeview giving you 30+ extra channels without having to connect one of those reciever boxes.

Holland don't have freeview I think.

If you are on a tight budget, go for this model: Samsung LE26R41BD
It is quite an old model and here in UK the prices are around £600, no idea about Canabis land.

Other options are the
Sony KDV S26A10E: http://www.sony.nl/view/ShowProduct...w_nl_NL&pageType=Overview&category=TVP+LCD+TV
Sony KLV V26A10E:
http://www.sony.nl/view/ShowProduct...w_nl_NL&pageType=Overview&category=TVP+LCD+TV
And also look at the new LG models which just released over Europe, the prices in UK are quite cheap.

LOL @canabis land :)

I saw the sony tv`s but the samsung described above is faster :)

Better response times?
Don't worry about that, all the new models are perfect for HD gaming.

WOW. That would be perfect for me. If only I could pay for that in installments, then I'd buy it right now.

I found the exact same tv at another site but its without the built in freeview channels which I dont really need since I can use my Xbox 360's Media Center for the extra channels.
I got a "buy now, pay 9 months later" deal with the option of paying it all at once in under 9 months or else I have to start paying in installments after the deadline.
I bought it but the "buy now, pay 9 months later" is a contract agreement which they'll first have to post to me, I'll have to read and sign, then send back. Once they recieve the contract, THEN they deliver the tv.
Kind of annoying really.

How can that Hitachi TV be a widescreen and have a resolution of 1024 x 1024?
Unless the pixels arent squares which means things will look kinda dumb on it.

RuneEdge, Hitachi use an ALIS panel, meaning they are rectangle pixels.

Mack, how far do you sit from your screen? Because a new screen is out: Panasonic 37PX60 and Panasonic 42PX60. They are very good, and you can get Pedestal or Wall Mount version.

Here is a good price check: http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/sound-and-vision/vision/tv/browse?&search=px60&q=px60&ref=redirect

I seriously reccomend one of them!
Other options are the Hitachi 7200 which is very good but the PX60 is better. And not sure about the LG. The big 3 players in Plasma for good pic quality are Pioneer, Panasonic and Hitachi. The rest are rubbish. When you go shops, stay away from Philips, Samsung and Hitachi 6600 plasmas, as they are rubbish.
Also have you thought about rear projection? But it might be too big, depends how far you sit from the TV.
If you need more help just ask :)

Depends where you're gonna sit really. No point in using a 42" TV if you're gonna be sitting less than a yard away from it.
My 26" TV sits next to my PC monitor. If the TV was any bigger, it would have been pointless for me.
