Winning 11 10 on Japanese PS3 looking like crap...HELP!

Hello all,

I just got a JP PS3 and decided to play a game of WE10...I noticed immediately that the game looked like ass. SUPER jagged,unsmooth textures through out the menus and gameplay.

Did I miss something here? Has anyone had the same problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your funny, its exactly identical, and besides what kind of tv you have your ps3 hooked up too, that might me your problem as the ps3 is designed for HD.

uhhhh...really? It doesnt look right on my TV which supports 1080i and 480p.

So yours looks totally fine? what resolution are you running?

The 1080i part might be part of your problem. You tv needs to support 720p as well or else the PS3 will downscale everything if the game doesn't support 1080i.

hmmm that would be an older HDTV then, i think all of them support that now...

here's the thing fellas...it looks WORSE than when i play on PS2...It doesnt make any sense to me. ANYONE have a PS3 here???

PS3 is not good at reading PSX2 and PSX disc, yes, it can read it, just not well...

Check your console's settings.

have you updated your ps3 fw to 1.5?
apparently, that fw will resolve the upscaling problem with most ps2 games

It shouldnt look like crap now since Sony has updated the firmware to eliminate the "Jagged edges" from PS2 games playin on ps3.

Oh it still looks like crap, even changing my tv to 480p mode in hopes of trying to get as close as possible to the native 480i gives a garbage image.

its looks good on my plasma tv, playin on PS3. (Nothing compared to the PS3 games graphics tho..oh well). Clean, minimal jagged edge. There is no frame rate problem, unless playing online, and that's minimal.
