WOAH, haha, look at that!

My PC won't be able to run it and it's crap on consoles IMO but I'll sorely miss it. It looks fab.

I hope it has keyboard / mouse support on the PS3

Really liking the lighting and some of the graphics, but the grass really annoys me. The land textures seem very Warcraft like.

Re: Command and Conquer, Red Alert 3 Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

seems slightly cell shaded like crackdown was

I don't like these run-of-the-mill RTS's anymore. If it's just RA2 with better graphics or C&C3 I won't be getting it, it needs some innovation.

Completely agree with last 2 posts. These 3D RTS not only aren't better than their 2D prequels, but I don't like them at all. It really needs to be some innovation to strategy genre, because the gameplay is hardly enjoyable and I don't buy RTS only to see nice 3D models and particles flying around.

I think its too complicated. The originals were just click and play right away.

Re: Command and Conquer, Red Alert 3 Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

I read today that this isn't coming to the PS3 or at least not at the same time as the 360 and PC!

Re: Command and Conquer, Red Alert 3 Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

EA’s just confirmed to videogaming247 that Red Alert PS3 has definitely been put on hold. A PR rep issued the following statement:

“We can confirm that the development of Red Alert 3 for PS3 has been put on hold. EA LA is focusing resources on development for PC and Xbox 360 which will ship simultaneously this autumn.”

And that’s that. No one seems to know quite why the PS3 version’s been pushed back and it doesn’t sound like there’s going to be any comment on this other than the above right now.

The news solidified properly last night when GameStop was rumoured to have pulled the SKU.

Re: Command and Conquer, Red Alert 3 Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

"exotic and tough."

Speaking to VideoGamer.com, EALA producer Amer Ajami used those words to elaborate on the decision to halt PS3 development of the Hitler-free real-time strategy romp, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

"We actually announced a PS3 version early on but that was when we were still doing a lot of technical exploration of the architecture," explained Ajami. "PS3 is a very powerful system but as you guys know it's very exotic and tough to develop for and our engine really at the time wasn't designed for PS3." Couch commanders need not give up all hope, though, as Ajami notes EA "might go back and do something with the PS3 later on."

Oh well... i was looking forward to this but then at the same time if it can run on my pc I'll get it on that and enjoy the free user created content.

[PC] Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Demo Coming Monday

Get a taste of this year’s blockbuster strategy game on November 24th at GameSpot

Next weekend, don't just limit your animal interaction to eating turkey – launch parachuting war bears and play nice with dangerous dolphins in the single player demo for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3. Available for download this Monday, November 24th at GameSpot.com for the PC, the demo includes the game's cinematic opening, three tutorials and two full campaign missions. Downloading the demo will give players a chance to experience the unique, fun, over-the-top universe of Red Alert 3 ahead of the game's first major content patch, which includes the powerful WorldBuilder editor, balance fixes and a de-authorization tool that will allow users to de-authorize previously authenticated versions of Red Alert 3 on machines they no longer wish to use.

The single-player demo includes the entire 7-minute opening cinematic from the game, along with three of the game's interactive tutorials and one campaign mission from both the Soviet and the Allied campaigns for a full-blown taste of Red Alert action:

Krasna-45: Circus of Treachery – The second mission of the Soviet campaign, players will immediately be introduced to battling the series' newest faction, the Empire of the Rising Sun, escorting the Soviet's commando Natasha to a launch facility, protecting her from the Imperial ambush division waiting to attack.

Heidelberg: The Famous Liberation – Players will then switch their attention over to the Allied cause, in the third mission in the Allied campaign, teaming up with an in-game Co-Commander to take out the Soviet's powerful Iron Curtain and headquarters in Germany.

The demo gives gamers a great opportunity to try out Red Alert 3 before the game's first major patch is released later this year. The upcoming update will include the WorldBuilder, the game's map-making and mod tool and a community favorite, enhancements to AutoMatch for multiplayer, balance fixes and an easy-to-use de-authorization tool that will allow players to de-authorize previously authenticated machines that they no longer wish to play Red Alert 3 on, ultimately giving them the freedom to play on an unlimited number of computers. More details on the patch will be made available soon.

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 is available in stores now for the PC and Xbox 360, featuring the genre's first co-operative campaign, an increased emphasis on naval warfare and the series' trademark live-action movie sequences, starring largest and most talented cast in the history of video games including Jenny McCarthy, George Takei, Tim Curry, J.K. Simmons, Randy Couture, Gina Carano, Autumn Reeser, Kelly Hu and Gemma Atkinson. The demo will be available for download at noon PT on Monday, November 28th at

Nobody plays this?

I've been linking it, but something is missing...

I only played a couple of missions so far with the soviets.

anyway, i've been hooked on gears of war, so it will take a few days before I play the game again...

EA has announced the live-action cast of the Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising expansion, adding in a little ultra-violence, a bit of unfortunate anime adaptation, and a whole lot of Flair.

Ric Flair, that is. The 16-time world heavyweight wrestling champion joins an all-star lineup of new additions to the Red Alert 3 roster, portraying Commander Hill, one of the commanders players will take on in the new Commander's Challenge mode. Flair was understandably excited about the role.

“When I found out that EA wanted me to be part of Command & Conquer, all I could say was ‘Woooooooooooo!’”

...okay.

Along with Flair comes the legendary Malcolm McDowell, Jamie Chung from the live-action Dragonball movie, Prison Break's Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, and Holly Valance from the Dead or Alive movie.
