Juventus Thread

Were'nt we supposed to get Lucio at the beginning of next season, apparently the deal had already been done. Don't know whether that was just a rumour or whether its fallen through.

I heard Matteo Ferrari as well..

Maybe it's time for the Wiley Cats Montero and Ferrara to take a back seat. There's only so many fouls you can do in the penalty box in a final when a speedy forward runs past!

Bobogol is gonna hate me for that last comment! hehe

Everybody seems to need a season to fully settle in with Juve.

I won't judge Leggro until next season.

I think he's renouned for his attacking ability rather than his defensive skills.
Birindelli and Ferrara are the latest injuries.
Forza Juve in the Coppa game tonight. Perugia vattene!

Who needs Deco when we have that guy who won the Ballon D'or, what's his name oh,,,Nedved ;)

Deco can play left-midfield, attacking-midfield, central-midfield, right-midfield and on the wing. Just like Nedved he can play everywhere! So if you have 2 of them, you can place both of them where ever you want.

Zambrotta is versatile too Don, he used to play right wing And now LB but I know what your trying to say, but we do not need him, we need defenders.

Yes getting defenders is more important.

Anyway what i was trying to say is although we have Nedved, Deco could still play along side him.

IMO Deco would be a good signing, howerver i just cant see him being one of those solid juve players who can play a whole game in excellent form.

You're right Milanista, Although i'd rather see Deco at Juventus, he'll more likely go to a club like AC.

yep, agree with you there, juve defense is usually the most solid in serie A, and this season they've already concided 18 goals compared to Roma 7, milan 8 and inter 12.

Alessandro Del Piero remembers Juve President Gianni Agnelli a year on from his death and pledges to win the Scudetto in his memory.

“I and the whole team miss him terribly,” admitted the captain, “but we hope that soon we can give him the third star on the Juventus shirt.”

A golden star is awarded for every ten Italian titles won and currently the Bianconeri are the only side with two.

Honorary President Agnelli passed away in January 2003 and he was unable to celebrate their 27th Scudetto.

“When we went to pay our respects at the funeral service, it seemed as if the King of Italy had died.”

Del Piero was nicknamed ‘Pinturicchio’ by the FIAT owner and recalls their time together at the training ground.

“To be called to one side for a personal chat with him was a great honour,” explains the Italian international.

“Agnelli was a real connoisseur of football and I was always very touched and grateful to be given a new nickname by him.”

Meanwhile, Juventus travel to Empoli for Sunday’s match and it’s reported there will be changes to the tactical set-up.

Fabrizio Miccoli’s fine goal in the Coppa Italia win over Perugia midweek could earn him a spot in the starting eleven.

This would mean leaving David Trezeguet as lone striker with backing from Miccoli, Del Piero and Pavel Nedved in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Forza Juve
