Good player, very quick, doesn't score goals but makes a lot. From Sydney but has Croatian parentage, but has had a fight with Bilic so won't play for Croatian team again.

Why should they buy him?

They bought with Ujfalusi and Heitinga two central defenders, or will Marquez play in the defensive midfield?

From what the press says, Marquez won't leave since he is part of Guardiolas plans for next season.
