Newcastle United thread

Newcastle for the title eh? ;)

We'll go unbeaten this season, get more points than Arsenal did last season too :)

hahaha, i doubt it John. Its his last season and he'll want to win something with Newcastle

:D :D :D :D :D

the words 'Newcastle' and 'win something' just dont go together ;)

UEFA cup place is where your likely to finish imo

Liverpool have improved too much, so have Boro and Brum

fair result for me , we didn't play well enough in 2nd half to deserve win, bit cheesed off with jimmy the cheat's equalizer but elliott handballed in 1st minute so it evened out

Thought Nicky Butt was awesome but Milner was a bit wasteful with the ball

Fair result all in all in my opinion. We didnt play well, and i dont think you guys did... although you did pass the ball very well at times (how it pains to admit that). You hardly had any shots on target, but neither did we. I think the ref was as biased as possible, but redeemed himself for giving us The Black Maradonas goal.

Least we didnt lose. Heres too a good season anyway guys.

I thought he had a sound enough game, did nothing wrong but to be honest i didnt notice too much of him i was too busy screaming my head off for us to pass the ball along the ground ;)

Q: why can't you give him to sunderland as a gift, along with Titus Bramble?

A: Because no-one hates the Mackems that much.

Q: : Coo Coo, some wild flying and general happy birdies have been partying since the news that hopefully wor Keiron may be sold. Since he took root in wor native N.E.his pississtant irratic driving and poor taste in cars have reaked havok amongst the local flock reducing them to days in the cree. In fact wor swing bridge flock are still shaking from his attempt to bend it! Wor spikey friends in the hedge have also suffered, many of which losing loved ones. Wor friends in similar coloured feathers are fed up with the poor porning values of his tasteless glitter. So please please do not have a reserve so he will sell no matter what, we can then relax and maybe we can win a few races for wor geordie owners thus saving us from the dreaded pie death!!! coooooo, P!Dgeon.

A: I’m sorry, I didn’t understand a single word of that…

I''ve got mixed feelings about this move. On one side I'm gutted beacause we are gonna loose one hell of a central defender but on the other side he has only played a handful of games for us for the past 2 seasons as he's always getting injured, so maybe with the 13/14 mil we're will be getting for him we can get another top centre back or maybe even 2. god knows we need them.

yes it is a funny one

once real madrid come calling u cant deny him the opportunity no matter how big the club is (beckham, samuel, zidane, figo, owen, vieira etc )

he is a class player but too injury prone and it is good business for newcastle as long as one or two quality replacements are brought in

Vieira? think you made a mistake there mate.

Anyway, i think it'll be good for all concerned, Woody might get to play a few less games and consequently get injured less, become a better play and improve RM . .while, like you guys have mentioned, Newcastle will be able to get a couple of decent cb's in with the money.

what i meant is no matter how big the club the player was at

arsenal were helpless to stop him going if he wanted to, i should have been a bit more clear ;)

Anyway this stat is good enough reason for letting woody go

Woodgate has played in only 37 of the 128 games Newcastle have played since his move, and has only 28 Premiership appearances to his name in a black and white shirt.

Apperently we've already been linked with a move for Chelsea's CB Robert Huth. Is he any good? I know he's young, around 18/19 but I've never actually seen him play. I hope to bloody hell we get a replacement or 2 in before the tranfser window closes. It would be suicide for us if we don't!

I think he's actually 20 Baggs, not had a great deal of first team footy for the Russians in West London, but is a good prospect, whatst he deal with Robbo always buying 'potential' ?

Also heard you've been linked with Gallas and King, and i hope for our sake we dont let you have King.

Haven't heared about Gallas or King yet but I'd love to get either one of them or maybe even both of them to Newcastle. I could see Chelsea offloading Gallas but I don't see how u lot will let King go. Dunno about Robbo buying "future prospects", He's always had this rule of buying young and british.

Well looks likes Woodgates off to Real Madrid for 13million

Shame :D

not really, because whats the point of keeping a plyer who's always injured. Robson and fat fred said we will get £15mil for him. and i'd rather have 2 decent CB's that 1 thats always injured. So i hope the move goes through :)

this one is good as well ldas -

Q: Why don't you sell him to the Mackems for a tenner. I know, I know, they can't afford to pay that much, and it's more than he's worth, but surely you can start at a tenner and drop it to £1 if you have to. Why don't you put the picture back up with a picture of a dummy next to him. - Then everyone will recognise him, including his girlfriend. Apparently she has a dummy also. - Kieron !

A: To be able to afford that, they would have to sell their stadium and all the supporters homes to raise the £1 transfer fee needed.

Jon Woodgate has passed a medical and completed his £14m move to Real Madrid. Woody has signed a four-year contract with the Spanish giants to become Madrid's third Englishman. Presumably the medical just involved him signing his name...

You should be on stage you marra ;)

im interested to see who you get, you wont spend the full 15mil im certain of that. you wont buy someone as good as woodgate im pretty confident of that

talk of King or Gallas is laughable imo, 10mil wudnt get you King and why would Gallas leave Chelsea to play for you?

Champions league is where its at ;)

Who would you lot like to see join Newcastle with the cash?

myn would be - Ledley King and William Gallas

I'd hope the Spurs board would reject ANY offers for King, now is the time to really start putting a side together and King will be a fundamental part of that.
