I put the clock back 14 hours and it's worked a treat. :|

I think I'll start a league for this, the game is brilliant but the cheats are just really, really getting on my tit.

I'll ask permission from the mods (don't know how a FIFA league in a PES forum will go down) and then get one started if it's okay.

Can someone give me a bit of advice with Fifa 07, I am thinking of buying this today as I am sick of the slow on-line play of PES6,

so first off whats the on-line play like on Fifa
has anything been improved since the demo (off market-place),
what can you edit
are there any better looking stadiums than wembley

cheers for any advice

Edit mode is very good. My edit thread will make you feel like your playing a different game altogetehr and more in the vein of winning eleven(I am very happy now all thanks to the editing mode)

Grass and stadiums are good. Wembly looks bvetter in the full version.Adboards have different looks and functions if you play with certain teasm in different stadiums like if you took two italian teams to anfield the adboards are different than they would be in san siro... very cool

I like the game alot more now but thats because I finally nailed something concrete with the editing...

can you edit anything more than the stats, and does the tunnel sequence and replays look better than in the demo

Well, I tried...but this game is not for me....
I don't feel the excitement or footballing passion when scoring goals
with this game....it feels like something is missing....
The satisfaction I get when I score a goal in WE10 is what I don't
get in FIFA....

Both games have problems for sure...but for me FIFA has some really
basic issues:
- players don't react to passes
- crosses are not good
- same with corners
- headers are rare, CPU never does it
- lack of offline modes
- player likeness is really bad....they look like plastic...
some players are good, but most are'nt...
- commentary is good, but i'm noticing a lot more bugs.
- it's difficult to build flowing moves with quick passing
- shooting just seems too empty for me....
- i can't stand the XBOX 360 controller
- terrible net physics...this for me is a big downer
- every match in manager mode is at night...

I went back to WE10, started a ML, and it feels so good....
scoring goals with the passion and excitement of real football.
Sure it has problems, like the CPU cheating, lack of crowds,
flaky Goalies (which seem a lot less in my ML),
but it just feels more like football than FIFA which feels like
a floaty plastic alternative...

I think EA can improve, but I feel Konami will blow them away once
the PS3 comes out...I think FIFA 07 has given Konami the warning signs,
and in the next two iterations of WE on PS3, we will see the outcome

Thats down to the last friendly you had, if you start one and make it day and play for 1min and then cancel and go back to manager mode the games are in the day. Stupid mistake from EA, no changing times or weather conditions

I actually find the Xbox 360 controller to be good for this and PES6 on 360....

PS3 this and PS3 that... thats all I ever seem to hear. What makes you think the WE on PS3 will be any different to PES6 on Xbox 360?

Now PES7 might be slightly different from PES6... hopefully with a full edit mode if we are lucky.

Same old bullshit gameplay with slow defenders on Steroids etc etc...

Hmmm, ,I hear about this all the time but I see both day and night (and sometimes dusk) when I play my manager mode.

I agree that PES6 has been a major disappointment with the lack of editing, and the online fiasco...
And surely enough, people who play a lot online will find FIFA a
better alternative.

But FIFA just lacks that missing ingredient which WE has,....
scoring goals is a bore in FIFA...the passion and excitement
of scoring goals which WE has is something else...

And JB, it's not because my shots balloon over the bar....
In fact for me the excitement happens when I score after a flowing
passing move, or fast counter-attack or when I'm piling on the pressure
and get a scrappy goal...
Once in a while, shots do balloon over....but it's rare...

I might give FIFA one last try this week, other wise I'm selling my
XBOX 360 and the FIFA.....and I will wait for PS3 and WE.

Regarding the PS3 and Konami, I think Japanese gamers will demand
more for that platform than the XBOX, and that will drive more
innovation on the PS3 in future.....
I think that is where Konami's next-gen efforts will focus on....

Hey, if you don't like a game, you don't like a game. If you don't like it then by no means don't feel forced to hold onto it! You've given the game a lot of time (a lot more than a hell of a lot of people) and if you're still not into it, you're not into it. I was only arguing my case. And speaking of which:

Maybe offline there isn't a problem, but I don't play PES offline (as I've said before, I'd rather eat money than buy a PES game to play the "master league" again).

I really have come to like this game more. The game 's animations and graphics overall are so nice in HDTV. i have fiddled with many gameplay edits and though I really think i got a good edit done I still feel that the orignal gameplay is still very good as long as you set team specific formations and set your defensive roles high against the cpu then you are golden.


the more I play it the more i like what the original game is.

I say again why do people think WE/PES on PS3 will be any different? Sure In someways I agree Konami loves Sony so yeah it might wait for PS3 for a proper Next Gen WE/PES but I think all these PS3 Fanboys seem to forget that the XBox 360 is just as capable as the PS3 so we will ALSO get the next gen WE/PES at the SAME TIME as them! lol they go on like PS3 will get the best version and us 360 players will get shit!

i agree with djdoc360 , i dont see how the ps3 version will be any different than the xbox 360 version. Both are next-gen games and theyre released at the same time. There might possibly be minor differences , but i dont think one version will be better than the other.

I played the PS3 already in a demo kiosk. Motostorm and NBA 07. both games were just ok.

the unit crashed about 3 times while I was at the local store

Don't know who you're targetting, but I'm not a fanboy of anything...
I'm too old for that :-)
But, all I was saying that I think Konami could be doing more for
the PS3, simply because they have always been developing good
games for the PS1/PS2....porting and enhancing the code would be
easier than porting the code to the XBOX 360...
But then again I might be wrong, and Konami may just port the 360
version to the PS3.....
I don't personally care who wins the war between Sony and Microsoft...
at the end of the day all i want is a satisfactory footy game
that I will enjoy.

Haha, funny you should say that; I've been 100% problem free for a year or so now. Today I get a (brand new) copy of Tiger Woods 07 and half the time it boots, half the time it doesn't. IT BEGINS...
